Calyxia, a French manufacturer of biodegradable microcapsules has announced a $35 million round of financing to enable the construction of a second production site.
This Series B round, in which Lombard Odier Investment Managers participated via its Plastic Circularity fund, Bpifrance via its Large Venture fund and Astanor, will enable Calyxia to increase its production capacity to 3,000 tonnes per year, i.e. six times its current capacity.
The VSA team that accompanied Astanor was made up of Louis Chenard, partner and Gaspard Revel, lawyer for the corporate/M&A part, and Christel Alberti, partner for the tax law part.
The company was advised by Hogan Lovells, Lombard Odier by Villechenon and Bpifrance by Goodwin.
