Vendée Globe 2024 – 2025. We have been a partner of Violette Dorange and the DeVenir Project since 2021.
After crossing the English Channel and the Straits of Gibraltar in an Optimist yacht at the age of 15, and becoming the youngest ever participant in the Mini Transat in 2019, Violette was the youngest woman ever to take part in the Solitaire du Figaro.
That’s where we met her and accompanied her through her last two seasons in the Figaro 3, which she carried out in parallel with her engineering studies at INSA in Rennes.
At 23, she is the youngest entrant in history and the youngest woman to take part in the Vendée Globe 2024/2025, the solo, non-stop, unassisted round-the-world race, which will last around 3 months.
Her boat, a 60-foot daggerboard IMOCA, DeVenir, won the 2008 Vendée Globe with Hubert Dejoyaux (“Foncia”) and was 4th in the last Vendée Globe with Jean Le Cam (“Yes We Cam !”).
She is determined to finish the round-the-world race among the best, and is already one of the greats of this mixed sport.
The DeVenir project supports young people in difficulty through the Fondation d’Auteuil, of which she is the godmother.
An inspiring and determined young woman, Violette embodies the values of solidarity, tenacity, commitment and professionalism that are also in our DNA.
