Louis Chenard is a partner who advises entrepreneurs, industrial groups and investment funds on M&A, private equity and growth capital transactions. He has particular expertise in the technology and artificial intelligence sectors.
Louis advises founders and management teams of technology companies at every stage of their development: financing rounds, equity investments, build-ups and exits. He also advises industrial groups on strategic acquisitions and disposals, and private equity, growth and venture capital funds on their investments and exits. His practice also includes corporate and securities law. A significant part of his practice involves cross-border transactions, working alongside foreign investors, acquirers and counsel, particularly from the United States and Europe.
His practice also covers post-M&A disputes and complex situations between shareholders, management and investors.

After working at Merrill Lynch in London in 2008, Louis began his legal career at Gide Loyrette Nouel in 2009 and then joined Darrois Villey Maillot Brochier. In 2012, he co-founded SLVF with seven colleagues. SLVF merged with Viguié Schmidt in 2017 to form Viguié Schmidt & Associés.
