Yves Schmidt

Managing Partner, Yves advises and litigates for his clients in corporate law, securities law and M&A, both for listed and non-listed companies. He advises listed companies on governance issues. He has a strong experience of strategic litigations and market abuses and advises companies, their shareholders, officers and directors. He appears before civil, commercial and criminal courts, including in particular before the Commission des sanctions of the Autorité des marchés financiers (French stock markets authority). Yves began his career at Serra Ferry, then joined Rambaud Martel in 1991 where he worked for four years as an associate and then for seven years as a partner. He founded Viguié Schmidt in 2003 with Nicolas Viguié, which eventually became Viguié Schmidt & Associés in July 2017 further to its merger with SLVF.

Yves was admitted to the Paris Bar in 1992. He graduated from Science-Po Paris (SP, 1986) and holds a D.E.A. (post-graduate degree in law) from Université Paris I – Panthéon Sorbonne. He teaches a corporate law class for the Master 2 Droit des Affaires et Fiscalité post-graduate degree at Université Paris II – Panthéon Assas.
